Our Subfloor Preparation Procedure

Step 1: Subfloor Assessment
We inspect your subfloor for cracks, dips, moisture, or uneven surfaces before starting. This ensures the correct subfloor preparation method is used.
Step 2: Moisture Testing & DPM Application
If required, we apply a damp-proof membrane (DPM) to protect your new flooring from moisture. This is critical in concrete subfloor prep.
Step 3: Surface Leveling
We apply high-quality self leveling compound over concrete or wooden bases to eliminate bumps and low spots.
Step 4: Overlay with Plywood or Chipboards
For wood floors or floating installations, we install plywood sheets or acoustic chipboards to create a stable base.
Step 5: Soundproofing (Optional)
For flats or upper floors, we can add acoustic underlay or soundproof mats as part of the subfloor prep.
Step 6: Final Prep for Floor Type
We finalize the surface depending on your flooring choice — whether it’s LVP, laminate, Karndean, or engineered wood.
